Window Energy Ratings
The Window Energy Rating (WER) labelling scheme was launched in the UK by the British Fenestration Rating Council (BFRC), a Government-supported independent body. By using information contained on the label, consumers can reliably compare one product with another and make informed decisions regarding the energy performance of a window. The A (best) to G (worst) rating system is similar to the labelling already used on white goods. The label gives a rating based on the performance of the whole window (frame and glass) and therefore allows fair comparison of one window with another.
SGG EcoClear® works.
Windows glazed with EcoClear® allow optimal amounts of the sun’s energy to pass through the glass into the room allowing your home to benefit from free solar heat gain. At the same time, using advanced glass coating technology, EcoClear® reflects the heat inside your house back into the room rather than allowing it to escape. Both features reduce or eliminate the need for additional heat-ing. In fact, EcoClear® offers up to 3 times more thermal insulation than standard double glazing and 20% better insulation than old fashioned thermally insulating glass. All this without compromising the amount of natural light passing through the glass into your home.
Frequently Asked Questions:

Energy Saving Recommended windows containing SGG EcoClear will improve the energy efficiency of your home AND save you money on your heating bills.
Can I eliminate condensation on my windows?
SGG EcoClear double glazing will greatly reduce condensation compared to single glazing or old fashioned thermally insulation glass. However, replacing the standard aluminium spacer bar with a warm edge spacer bar increases the glass edge temperature resulting in virtually no internal condensation.
